PINKSTIX is proud to support the preservation of classical Chinese Calligraphy & Art by contributing and working with the Deng Fen Art Foundation. Through seminars, exhibitions, art publications and its website, the Foundation strived to commemorate the artistic accomplishment of Master Artist Deng Fen and his son Deng Chi Iok, and to promote and preserve traditional Chinese arts and cultures to future generations.

Master Artist Deng Fen (1894-1964)
Deng Fen was born in the region of Nanhai, in the Guangdong province of China, to a literary family. Born with many artistic talents, he apprenticed under various scholars and masters of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. Deng Fen excelled in painting figures, flowers, birds and landscapes, and also expanded his artistic talents to include poetry, seal carvings and cantonese opera music. He was famous for his ability to communicate the spirit and mind of his subjects through his art, whereby his beauties and Buddhist paintings were particularly well known. The Great Master artist Zhang Daqian also praised Deng Fen as the “Only Master of Chinese Painting in Guangdong”.
